I’ve been tagged in three of these memes on Facebook, and instead of writing the notes and tagging other people on Facebook, I’m going to write it as a blog post and link to it. Then, everyone’ll get sucked into reading the rest of the blog and I can take over the world! MUAHAHAHA… umm… ha?
Moving on… here’s 25 random things about me:
- I hate getting shots or having blood drawn, but I have 2 tattoos and am planning the third. Go figure.
- I wanted to be a gardener when I grew up when I was in kindergarten. Now the BF owns a landscaping company.
- I thought about getting my MBA, but then realized I’d much rather be cooking, and have decided to go to culinary school instead.
- All of my clothes and pants face the same way on the hangers– front facing left.
- I’ve never liked basketball, and even when the Celtics won the championship last year, it didn’t psych me up.
- I have a straight-up hate affair with the state of Connecticut. I’m very rarely happy when I’m there. I do, however, have some good friends from CT and try not to hold their home state against them.
- I have a love affair with the states of Vermont and Colorado. ::le sigh::
- I had a mole removed from my back on Friday. Gross, I know, but I’ve never had it done and it was driving me nuts.
- It doesn’t really get much better than snuggling up on the love seat with a good book and a cup of tea.
- Unless it’s snuggling up on the love seat with the BF to watch a movie.
- I came in second place in the fourth-grade spelling bee, then the winner moved away.
- I taught Spanish classes as a freshman in college. Some of my students were flabbergasted that I was teaching, which made me feel good
- I’m kind of entirely obsessed with weddings. My own (eventually), other people’s (we’ll call one in particular “Rose,” and she knows why), and the ridiculous ideas I see online.
- As much as I say I want to move to VT or CO, I’ll likely stay in the towns of the dear ol’ Middlesex League.
- Any ball in motion will stay in motion, directly at my face. Seriously. I was hit in the face playing dodgeball AFTER I was already out.
- I changed my major 5 times (communication to international business to IB/Spanish to international relations to information design and corporate communication to IDCC with PR concentration to IDCC with info design concentration), then my concentration within my final major twice. And still graduated on time.
- I almost killed myself rollerblading down a hill on my street. My dad caught me at the beginning of a neighbor’s driveway.
- I learned to drive a stick-shift in a cemetary. Reasoning: everyone was already dead.
- The BF’s grandmother and my grandmother were BFFs back in the day. They both died before we met, so we think they orchestrated our whole relationship while sitting in heaven sipping cocktails.
- I’ve started too many blogs to count, only to have my interest in them wane and fade away. I’m going to try to turn that around this time.
- I love Southern BBQ. There’s just something about pulled pork, corn bread, applesauce, a slice of watermelon, and sweet tea that makes me weak in the knees.
- I’m a beer snob. I rarely drink domestic macrobrews (Bud, Coors, Miller, etc.) and tend to look down on people who say their favorite beer is one of those. Jim Koch, founder of Sam Adams, is my hero, but Magic Hat is my favorite microbrewery.
- A few summers ago, I was drinking around 6 cups of coffee a day. When I went to the doctor complaining of persistent headaches, she told me that if I didn’t stop drinking so much coffee, I’d have a nervous breakdown by the time I hit 30. I now generally only drink 1 caffeinated beverage a day, and it’s a cup of black tea in the morning.
- My dream car is an Aston Martin DB8. James Bond is HOT.
- I hate crying unnecessarily, which is why I don’t watch chick flicks or read any book that comes with the description “OMG I cried so much!” I think it’s lame. Then again, I cry like a baby whenever I see an MSPCA commercial with Sarah McLachlan trying to get me to adopt a dog. I want to take them all home!

18. Made me laugh out loud…best reasoning ever.
22. I heart Magic Hat! Ever had Roxy Rolles? One of my favorites
It’s an autumn brew!
23. I’ve had two cups of coffee today, and I feel like crap. Caffeine is bad news bears sometimes! Yeesh.
25. Those commercials make me cry, too. I have to turn away from the tv, but I still know what’s going on, so I still cry! I also cry during a lot of the “Story Core” (Corps?) stories on NPR…such tear-jerkers!
